YSL Volume Effet Faux Cils Shocking Mascara
I am the kind of person who does NOT splurge on mascaras, don't judge me but I was happy with my drugstore picks. Couple of weeks back I bought a few products from YSL and the SA gave me this mascara for free! I was very happy curious to try this because its a Volume Mascara and that is what I look for while buying a mascara.
Like all the YSL products, the Shocking mascara comes in gold tube. The wand of this looks slightly twisted with longer bristles on one end and shorter on the other side and vice versa. The formula of the mascara is quite wet which is nice because you can layer the mascara and separate the lashes between each coat. The applicator makes it easy to coat each and every lash and gives volume, length and holds the curl. This is where I fell in love with the mascara, because with my drugstore I did get good volume but by the end of the day my lashes looked quite flat. But that is not the case with this mascara, it holds the curl until I use a makeup remover to take it off. The mascara did not smudge or budge (I do have a tendency to rub my eyes) the whole day. Also its very easy to take it off.

This mascara is true to its name - 'Shocking', it gives the volume that I always wanted in just one coat. During the day I get away with just a coat, but for evening I do layer a couple of coats and this mascara is capable of giving you an illusion of false lashes.

In the pic above I am using just one coat.

Overall, I am very happy that I tried this mascara. I will recommend this to anyone who is looking for volume and length. I will definitely try the baby doll mascara as its in news for obviously good reason.
