Product Review: MAC Pro Longwear Concealer

In spite of having 8 hrs of sleep (or may be more) and healthy eating my dark circles are just getting darker and that is supper annoying! The stubborn acne marks needs to be concealed!! So a concealer becomes a MUST have for me! And choosing the right shade of concealer is very very important!

My Take on MAC Pro Longwear Concealer:

The product comes in a clear glass vial with a pump. I am not a big fan of the packaging, first of all because its glass and second is that the pump dispenses a lot of product so there is wastage of product. The texture of the concealer is creamy when dispensed, and it's not too thick which is a very good consistency. A very little product is required and it gives an amazingly good coverage and dries into matte. I blend the concealer with my fingers or concealer brush. Once blended the concealer last a twelve hours, through, without creasing or budging!! The only downside about the product is that it dries really really fast so you need to work faster when it comes to blending and work on one eye at a time. Because if it dries, its really hard to blend and might end up looking cakey.

This is an ideal concealer if you have an oily skin as it dries fast, for dry skinned beauties this might not too flattering!! If your eye are is dry then it can settle a bit into the lines.

The formula is that it dries down to matte, budge proof finish, you can just finish it lightly with sheer powder. This stuff is waterproof so you may need a good make up remover to take it off!!

As I told its very important to chose the right shade! I made a mistake by picking up NC 45 which is wayyyyy tooo dark but I like the coverage it gives so I would repurchase a right shade soon!

Pros:

1. Clear glass packaging so you know how much of product is left.
2. Good coverage, its totally a wow product if you have an oily skin.
3. It lasts a miraculous twelve hours with out creasing or budging!
4. A very little product is needed
5. Dries matte!

Cons:

1. Packaging!!! I absolutely hate the pump dispenser.
2. Can be drying on dry skin girls!
3. Since it dries fast, it needs to be blended quickly.

Recommendation:

Girls with oily eye area would be really flattered to use this. It even conceals heavy pigmentation!! But if you have dryness around your eye area or have fine line then this product might emphasize on the flaws rather than concealing! So I recommend this to girls with oily eye area!
